Overview
24Piano Studio provides the 24Piano mobile app and the 24piano.com website. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app, submit the website contact form, or communicate with support. The Android version is intended for distribution through Google Play. This policy will also apply to future iPhone and iPad versions distributed through Apple's App Store. 24Piano Studio does not sell personal information.
24Piano mobile applications
The 24Piano mobile app does not require an account and does not collect or transmit names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment-card information, advertising identifiers, or precise location information. The app does not contain advertising, analytics, social features, direct messaging, or third-party tracking tools.
Practice data and settings
Practice progress, scores, selected exercises, app preferences, visual themes, sound settings, and MIDI preferences are stored locally on the user's device. 24Piano Studio does not receive or share this information. Local app data remains on the device until the user clears the app's storage or uninstalls the app.
Android or Apple backup services may back up certain app settings according to the user's device and account settings. These backups are controlled by the applicable operating-system provider, and 24Piano Studio cannot access them.
MIDI, USB, and Bluetooth access
24Piano can connect to compatible USB and Bluetooth MIDI keyboards. MIDI note events, control events, and available MIDI device names are processed temporarily on the device only to support piano practice. They are not transmitted to 24Piano Studio. MIDI input is not microphone audio, and 24Piano does not record the sound of the room, the student, or the instrument.
On Android 11 and earlier, Android may require location permission to discover nearby Bluetooth devices. 24Piano does not use that permission to determine, record, store, or share the user's physical location. On Apple devices, a future 24Piano version may request Bluetooth permission to connect to compatible Bluetooth MIDI keyboards. Users may decline MIDI-related permissions and continue using the app's on-screen piano keyboard.
Website contact form
When you submit the 24piano.com contact form, the website may collect the name, email address, topic, optional device or MIDI setup details, and message that you provide. This information is used to respond to your request, provide support, answer product questions, and improve support quality.
Website operation and security
The website may use essential framework cookies, validation data, server logs, and email delivery records needed for security, spam reduction, diagnostics, and reliable operation. The website does not add advertising trackers or third-party analytics by default. Website information is used only for the purposes described in this policy and is not shared with advertisers or data brokers.
App stores and purchases
App purchases are processed by the store through which the app was obtained, including Google Play or, for a future iPhone or iPad release, Apple's App Store. The applicable store may process account, purchase, billing, device, download, and licensing information according to its own privacy policy and terms. 24Piano Studio does not receive or store users' full payment-card details.
Children and students
24Piano is designed for piano students and may be used with help from a parent, guardian, teacher, or studio. The mobile app does not knowingly collect personal information from children and does not provide user accounts, advertising, social features, or direct messaging. Children should not submit personal information through the website contact form without permission from a parent or guardian where required.
Data sharing and security
24Piano Studio does not sell or share mobile-app data with advertisers or data brokers. Because app preferences and practice information are stored locally, users should protect their devices using the security features provided by Android or Apple. Internet communications with the 24Piano website are protected using standard transport security, but no transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Retention
Support messages may be kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond to the request, maintain support history, protect the website, improve support, or meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Local app data remains on the device until the user clears the app's data or uninstalls the app. Backup copies, if enabled by the user, are retained according to the applicable Google or Apple backup settings.
Your choices and deletion requests
You may ask about a support message you submitted, request a correction, or request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any legal, security, or operational record-keeping requirements that apply. You can remove locally stored app information by clearing 24Piano's app data in the device settings or by uninstalling the app.
