Overview
24Piano Studio provides the 24Piano app and the 24piano.com website. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app, make or restore a store purchase, submit the website contact form, or communicate with support. Windows is distributed through Microsoft Store, Android through Google Play, and iPhone and iPad are planned for Apple's App Store. 24Piano Studio does not sell personal information.
24Piano applications
The app does not require a separate 24Piano account and does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, advertising identifier, or precise location for regular practice. 24Piano does not include advertising, social messaging, or third-party analytics by default. The applicable app store may use its own account and device information for download, licensing, purchases, subscriptions, and restoration.
Practice data and settings
Practice progress, scores, selected exercises, app preferences, visual themes, sound settings, and MIDI preferences remain stored locally on the user's device unless the app explicitly states otherwise. 24Piano Studio does not receive this practice information through the current app implementations.
Local app data remains on the device until the user clears the app's storage or uninstalls the app. Device or operating-system backup services may back up certain settings according to the user's own device and account configuration. Those backups are controlled by the applicable platform provider.
MIDI, USB, and Bluetooth access
24Piano can connect to compatible USB and Bluetooth MIDI keyboards. MIDI note events, control events, and available MIDI device names are processed temporarily on the device to support piano practice. MIDI input contains note and control information only; it is not microphone audio, and 24Piano does not record the sound of the room, student, or instrument.
On Android 11 and earlier, Android may require location permission to discover nearby Bluetooth devices. 24Piano does not use that permission to determine, record, store, or share physical location. On Apple devices, 24Piano may request Bluetooth permission to connect to a compatible Bluetooth MIDI keyboard. Users can decline MIDI-related permissions and continue with the on-screen keyboard.
Purchases and Premium entitlements
Microsoft Store, Google Play, and Apple's App Store process purchases, billing accounts, payment methods, subscriptions, refunds, and store-account information under their own terms and privacy policies. 24Piano Studio does not receive or store customers' complete payment-card information.
To activate, verify, or restore Premium, the app may receive or process limited store information such as a product identifier, purchase status, entitlement status, purchase token, transaction identifier, or receipt information. The Android implementation verifies the applicable entitlement through Google Play on the device. The Apple version verifies purchases through the applicable Apple purchase system.
These entitlement details are used only to determine access to the purchased or subscribed features, support restoration, and address purchase-related support. They are not used for advertising or sold to data brokers.
Separate stores and platforms
Mobile purchases do not automatically transfer between Google Play, Apple's App Store, and Microsoft Store. 24Piano does not currently maintain a cross-platform customer account that combines those store entitlements. Google, Apple, and Microsoft may handle information according to their own privacy policies.
Website contact form
When you submit the 24piano.com contact form, the website may collect the name, email address, topic, optional device or MIDI setup details, and message that you provide. This information is used to respond, provide support, answer product questions, and improve support quality.
Website operation and security
The website may use essential framework cookies, validation data, server logs, and email delivery records needed for security, spam reduction, diagnostics, and reliable operation. The website does not add advertising trackers or third-party analytics by default. Website information is not shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Children and students
24Piano is designed for piano students and may be used with help from a parent, guardian, teacher, or studio. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children and does not provide user accounts, advertising, social features, or direct messaging. Children should not submit personal information through the website contact form without permission from a parent or guardian where required.
Data sharing and security
24Piano Studio does not sell or share app data with advertisers or data brokers. Users should protect their devices and store accounts using the security features provided by Windows, Android, or Apple. Internet communications with the website use standard transport security, but no transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Retention
Support messages may be kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain support history, protect the website, improve support, or meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Local app data remains on the device until cleared or uninstalled. Store transaction and subscription records are retained by the applicable store under its own rules.
Your choices and deletion requests
You may ask about a support message, request a correction, or request deletion of support correspondence, subject to legal, security, or operational record-keeping requirements. You can remove local app information by clearing 24Piano's app data or uninstalling the app. Purchase and subscription records may need to be managed through the applicable store.
Future entitlement services
If 24Piano Studio introduces a backend entitlement or customer-account service in the future, this Privacy Policy will be reviewed and updated before that service launches.
